Encyclopedia Pictura is a collective that consists of three directors that create breathtaking fantastical films using outlandish puppetry, inventive costuming, scale modeling, stop-motion, CGI and live action. There psychedelic creations are like nothing I've seen before.
I first came across their work when i saw the video for grizzly bear's 'knife' which they directed. It's just completely surreal and works well as a video for the song due to the repetitive rhythmic machines that churn away to the tempo of the song (which is quite psychedelic in it's own right). Shot in a desert and with a 60's aesthetic it reminds me of an old episode of star trek or something. You can watch the video here
They also recently directed the video for song 'wanderlust' by icelandic singer Björk. Again it's another bizzare psilocybin-influenced adventure that still keeps their distinctive style. You can watch it here
