First Attempt

Here is my first attempt at making a soundscape. The loose percussion is edited sounds that i recorded in the field, things like a wine glass being tapped, paper being torn etc... I then added a guitar melody, melodica and recordings of friends conversations. I put the sound to a selection of photographs that felt right with the sound. It was a little experiment in using sound as a basis and using images that are inspired by the sound. The sound has quite a nostalgic feel and this was what inspired the images of my friends and places i know as them seem to communicate the meaning reasonably well. I had taken the photographs with an old film camera and a disposable camera over summer. I think this little sequence works to an extent but there's no real narrative or concept apart from maybe when the guitar comes in and the mood changes, maybe this is something i will think about for my next attempt.
